It seems the colour of choice for evening wear has drastically changed this year in comparison to last. I remember back in 2012, everyone wanted champagne or very light cream dresses, this Autumn darker shades are very much in vogue …. various shades of blue in particular ….
A LBD is hard to beat. I always tell my clients that lighter colours and fabrics are fine when you’re a size 6-10 but if you want to flatter a tum, bum and hips pick a black or darker shade every time!!
So, let’s say you’re sick of black and want something a little different but still want to ensure your figure is complimented so you can look your best … look no further than navy blue! This fabulous, backless, rich navy, jersey full length gown with diamante embellishment is absolutely stunning on Belle Dress Hire customer, Nikki who wore this style to the annual Star Ball at the Titanic Building, Belfast ….
Another customer, Debbie, centre of the photo below, also looks fantastic in this dress at the annual Chartered Accountants Ireland “Oscar” themed formal dinner.
I love the ladies choice of hairstyle and dramatic make up and believe the neckline of this dress is so flattering on both girls and is a great alternative to strapless or halterneck.
Sticking with Shades of Blue ….. Belle Dress Hire customer, Sarah wore this beautiful electric blue gown to the Star Ball last weekend in Belfast …
Sarah was looking for something quite plain, so this empire lined, halterneck dress was perfect and even though the style is fairly simple at the front with small jewels, the back of the dress is a different story!!
This low rise dress attaches just above the bottom and again in the small of the back to create a more dramatic effect. I love the fact that Sarah wore her hair up to show off a little skin! Just goes to show that by choosing a “simple” styled dress in a striking colour such as the electric blue still means you can stand out in the crowd!!
Just had to also include this photo of both Belle Dress Hire customers, Nikki and Sarah outside the fantastic Titanic Building. Photos such as this, I feel always pay as a reminder of just how good the City of Belfast can be…
