This extremely lucky Belle customer manages to blag a photo at the IFTAs in Dublin with the super hot, Jamie Dornan aka Mr Christian Grey! The delectable Jamie will be hitting movie screens in the upcoming Hollywood version of Fifty Shades very soon.
However, despite Jamie’s handsome face I am drawn more to Belle customer Bernadette in this fantastic, raspberry coloured, halter neck gown ….
Not sure if you remember that I posted about having a dress very similar to the one worn by Kim Kardashian to Elton’s Oscar ’14 party … well this is the dress I was talking about! To be honest Bernadette looked beautiful in all of the dresses that she tried on, so it was hard to decide on just one. In the end this colour suits Bernadette’s complexion and dark hair fabulously. It made the most of her great figure and also was more of a formal choice considering the IFTAs are such an epic red carpet occasion. Not to mention that Bernadette and husband were also nominees for one of the awards on the night! I was so very pleased to hear that she loved wearing the dress and received loads of compliments.
I love the vintage hairstyle and restraint when it came to accessories. Bernadette’s choice of drop, chandelier ear rings were perfect as it is always very easy to overdo it on the bling. A necklace, ear rings AND a bracelet is 2 pieces of jewellery too much ladies!
This dress also comes with a matching wrap for around the shoulders and is available for hire.
After attending a few Festivals myself such as Electric Picnic and EDC Las Vegas, I know the value of proper attire and footwear at these events. I understand that celebrities do not often live on the same planet as ourselves when fashion comes into play but I have to say I was disturbed when I saw the latest pics from Coachella 2014!
Kylie and Kendall Jenner. Where to start. They looked ridiculous. Completely over accessorised and WAY TOO MUCH MAKE UP KYLIE! This girl is just 16 years old. She does not need to wear this amount of make up on an ordinary day let alone a 3 day music festival!
Vanessa Hudgens who is normally the QUEEN of boho chic was I’m afraid to say, somewhat on and off at this year’s event ..Festival attire is supposed to look effortless, free, comfortable … Vanessa doesn’t look any of the things in any of her outfits.
Step forward, Victoria Secret model, Alessandra Ambrosio. She was looking mighty fine as always! Shorty shorts to show off the tanned pins …. check ….. trendy hat to cover slightly greasy hair …. check … minimal to no make up with a rosy flush from dancing …. check … totally practical yet stylish high tops … check! Love her.
And doing it for the men, I give you …. Jared Leto. Rocking a totally, fantastic Festival/Rocker look. I know this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but you gotta say he does look cool! He doesn’t seem to be posing for the camera’s, but actually appears to be having a great time and so he should in that outfit. Good for you Jared!
Even though I have a beautiful collection of formal and evening dresses at Belle Dress Hire, I have to say I admire anyone who takes a risk with black tie fashion and makes it work!
Turning a “standard” evening dress code on its head is Taylor Swift whilst attending this year’s Country Music Awards ….
I just LOVED her look as evening wear! LOVED LOVED LOVED it! She’s a young girl so can have a bit of fun on the red carpet with a cropped top with cut outs showing off her trim waist and then a simple, full black skirt with side split, paired with awesome sandals
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting that Taylor is being lazy at this event, she’s actually been extremely clever with her styling and looks effortlessly chic. This outfit would be so comfortable during an awards ceremony which can go on for hours. She would be able to walk about the room in this skirt, dance etc Ok, she may need to pass on the spuds at dinner due to the danger of a bloated mid riff ….. but skipping some carbs would be SO worth it to look like this.
I posted about Emma Watson’s play with formal wear at the Oscar’s which I didn’t care for but Taylor Swift gets it bang on in my opinion with this look. She can’t do any wrong on the red carpet for me at the moment.
This look can be easily replicated for a fab, dressed up night out on the town. Simply pair a cropped white top with large pantaloon trousers in a dark coloured – black or navy – floaty fabric. These are all over the High Street at the moment! The wider the pantaloon the better to exaggerate the waist and also to look more like a full skirt therefore channelling a more “formal” style.
Check out the simply stunning Amy Poots and Hannah King who recently attended Dromore High and Campbell College School formals …
Amy (on the right of the below photos) is wearing a Bollywood inspired, red dress with delicate beading and a capped sleeve. She has teamed the dress with fabulous drop ear-rings and red carpet worthy hair. This is a perfect dress choice for a school formal as it’s not too mature and let’s natural beauty shine through. Amy looks gorgeous in this dress and is just as gorgeous on the inside!
The lovely Hannah King chose this beautiful rich, royal blue dress with silver beading to attend Campbell College formal. The dress is a simple style which is exactly what Hannah was looking for. The detailed back ensures that this dress is a showstopper from all angles. Again Hannah looks gorgeous but age appropriate …
Some absolutely gorgeous new styles coming to Belle Dress Hire which will be available to hire from next week onwards …..
This absolutely gorgeous dress in a champagne coloured chiffon is available for hire in a size 8/10. The deep, rich shade will look extremely elegant on but would need a warm skin colour to accompany it, so for most customers this will involve a light spray tan. The ruching and boning from the bust down through the waist and into the hip gives the wearer a fabulous silhouette and a great shape! No need for spanx with this ladies, the dress does all the hard work!
You should check out some similar dresses worn by Glee actress, Diana Agron and Stacy Keibler which have appeared on the red carpet .
This next new style at Belle Dress Hire in a size 12 is certainly simple in style but makes up for it in terms of shape and quality of fit. The strapless neckline gives the shoulders a beautiful, elegant line and the nipped in waist again gives a great shape. The strong, vibrant magenta colour is really striking and will suit blondes, brunettes and redheads! There is a little detail with some beading/diamante but no reason why you couldn’t bling this up with drop statement ear rings …..
It is an extremely busy time of year and evening appointments are the most popular so make sure to get an appointment at Belle Dress Hire by using the Contact Form to ensure you are in the diary.
